Monday 7th February – bike **** – Around Felixstowe – sunny start then clouded over.

Walk – sunrise prom stroll.

Haven’t been done the seafront lately to catch the sunrise so when I woke around 6.30 and saw the sky was clear I decided to head down :) I reached the cliff top at the end of our road at 6.50 with a frost on the ground and no clouds in the sky so was not expecting anything out of the ordinary. I managed to get some pics of the coloured prom lights before they went out as I walked towards the Spa to hopefully get some pics of the rising sun with the tropical palms that are planted there:) With the sun now rising further up the coast I had to walk just past the Spa to get the best pics, with the sun breaking above the horizon at 7.24:) Then up through the gardens to the cliff top getting some more pics of the funky lights I headed for home to sort out my pic and send some to the local TV weather but I am not holding my breath about getting one on! At least I got a pic in the local paper the EADT of Robert foiling with 4m at Levington Marina at week.

Bike – sunny start clouding over mid-afternoon.

After missing two really windy days over the weekend I was keen to get on the water today but by the time the breeze filled in a little we were already out on our bikes, fingers crossed for tomorrow when it is supposed to get to 13/14 degrees:) As the day was so lovely with wall-to-wall sunshine, I did my exercises while Mag did some gardening. Deciding to make the most of the lovely weather I made a flask for our favourite Bovril leaving home at 12.50 after chatting to a neighbour, then headed down to the prom which was pretty busy and bumped into more neighbours out walking their dog, stopping for another chat! It was a perfect winters day, ideal for being out on the bike especially with the breeze on our backs as we wove our way to The Fludgers. Inland and onto the much quieter prom by The Dip reaching one of our favourite lunch spots by the River Deben at 1.30. We had a relaxing lunch in the sunshine with stunning views but on leaving there was a big front approaching from inland and the sun then disappeared and the temperature dropped too! Then onto the Ferry but did not stop and quickly headed out on the Deben path to Kings Fleet which was not too muddy. Marsh Lane back to Felixstowe and home for the usual cuppa and cake, top day :)
